When I bring up a Google search page, it seems to load just fine.

So far, I haven't had trouble running all three tracking blockers together. UBlock Origin has EasyList and EasyPrivacy as two of the default filters, so it is doing more than ad-blocking.Īlso, Firefox has added its own "anti-tracking" privacy features with the latest updates. But, instead of using Google, I'm using DuckDuckGo (the one which doesn't track your browsing.) I'm using Firefox 66.0.1 on a Win7 (64) laptop, and I also have uBlock Origin as an ad-blocker and Privacy Badger providing additional anti-tracking. (Knock on wood.) When I find more insight or ways to fix this problem, I'll append this post.

The other frustrating part is that Automatic updates to Firefox have been permanently turned on since version 63, even though the preferences for the program list the option to control new updates are shown there. I tried Option 1 already, but it doesn't seem to fix the problem on my desktop. (Help Menu -> Troubleshooting Information -> Try Safe Mode: Restart with Add-Ons Disabled) You can run this for say one instance, exit Firefox, then reopen Firefox as you normally have in the past. What I've found as potential fixes are as follows:ġ.) Reinstall Firefox (This won't erase your bookmarks, add-ons, passwords/logins or preferences.) You can either reinstall the latest version or downgrade to say version 65.0.2 or earlier.Ģ.) Go into Safe Mode in Firefox. I'm using the 64-bit version of Firefox Quantum on Windows 10 Professional 64-bit, fyi. For me, I've set Google to be my home page everything looks loaded except the Google logo mid-page and the page loading indicator is still showing that it's trying to load.

It will sit there forever acting like it's loading the page (even on a fast Internet connection), but won't make any progress. Apparently, after installing the update, the homepage you've assigned to show up when opening Firefox will load partially, but not fully.
#DISABLE POP UP BLOCKER IN FIREFOX QUANTUM UPDATE#
I figured it would be best to let people know there is an issue regarding this latest update to Firefox, since their support doesn't seem to help much.
